Old Town - Steamboat Springs, Colorado

Steamboat Springs lies in northwest Colorado in a weather pattern that creates beautiful flowers and great snow for skiing.

Steamboat Springs boasts of many natural hot springs. The town was named for a natural rock formation that created sound like a steamboat 'toot' when the steam from the hot springs rose.

The town is probably best known for the world class skiing on Werner mountain (visit link

There are many hot spring resorts in the area for those who like to soak.

The Yampa River Botanic Garden (visit link) is a treasure of floral color explosions every summer.

Visit sooner than later because the beetle kill (visit link) is devastating the tress atop the mountains.
