St. Kenelm's Trail - 60 Miles

A long distance walk called St Kenelm's Trail links Clent and Winchcombe across the English countryside of Gloucestershire and Worcestershire.

St. John Henry Newman made frequent pilgrimages to the shrine of St Kenelm's martyrdom on Clent Hills.

This walk connects the two places most commonly associated with the legend of Kenelm: the Clent Hills, south of Birmingham, identified as the scene of his murder and the small Gloucestershire town of Winchcombe, near Cheltenham where his body was eventually interred. It is a journey across many memorable landscapes such as the Vale of Evesham, visiting numerous ancient villages, passing by several places of historic interest such as the picturesque, historic yet little-known Huddington Court and concludes with a spectacular finish through the grounds of the more famous Sudeley Castle.
