Today is the Feast of St. Andrew who is the patron
saint of Scotland, Greece, and Russia.
To honor St. Andrew, you should drink scotch, Ouzo,
and/or vodka.
An old tradition is to say this pray 15 times a day
until Christmas. However, you might just want to say it before each drink
you enjoy during Advent.
St. Andrew Advent Prayer (pray 15 times a day until Christmas)
Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in
which the Son of God was born of the
most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlehem, in piercing cold. In that
hour, vouchsafe, O my God! to hear my prayer and grant my desires, through the
merits of Our Saviour Jesus Christ, and of His Blessed Mother. Amen.
