26: Marriott in Ventura, CA
I checked into
the Marriott near the beach.
Of course, it
is a no smoking property. The designated smoking area is next to
the front door valet desk, and has only four chairs.
The Marriott is
not right on the beach nor right next to the Ventura Pier.
It is also not
near the foot bridge that connects the beach to downtown Ventura.
There is a
Crowne Plaza that is right on the beach and next to the pier. That
would be a better place to stay.
The Marriott is
next to the state beach which is huge, but it costs $10 to drive
in. So, I walked in and smoked cigars in the dark and cold.
There were lots
of bikers and joggers running on the state beach park paved trail.
After the sun
sets, it gets pretty cool near the beach.
