Beyond Marriage

Are you one of the naïve people who believe that “gay rights” will be achieved once they succeed in legalizing same sex marriages (instead of just civil unions)?

Don’t be fooled.  They have no intention of stopping there.   Here is what they have published as their strategy for additional “rights”  . . .

From the Beyond Marriage website:
“The struggle for marriage rights should be part of a larger effort to strengthen the stability and security of diverse households and families. To that end, we advocate:

Ø Legal recognition for a wide range of relationships, households and families – regardless of kinship or conjugal status.  (Polygamy, Child Marriage, Incest, Bestiality)

Ø Access for all, regardless of marital or citizenship status, to vital government support programs including but not limited to health care, housing, Social Security and pension plans, disaster recovery assistance, unemployment insurance and welfare assistance.   (Access to government benefits.)

Ø Separation of church and state in all matters, including regulation and recognition of relationships, households and families.  (Prosecution of religious who don’t agree.)

Ø Freedom from state regulation of our sexual lives and gender choices, identities and expression. (Polygamy, Child Marriage, Incest, Bestiality)

Marriage is not the only worthy form of family or relationship, and it should not be legally and economically privileged above all others.”

It’s only a matter of time.  What you can expect to hear in your lifetime:
“How dare you say that civil unions are the answer!  We will not rest until we have marriage equality!”
“Now that gays can marry, how dare you tell me that I can’t marry both of the women I love.”
“How dare you tell me that I can’t marry both of my gay lovers, you homophobic bigot!”
“How dare you tell me that I can’t marry my 14 year old cousin!”
“How dare you tell me that I can’t marry my beloved dog/cat and leave my money to my dear pet!”
“How dare you tell me that I can’t claim government benefits for each of my multiple spouses, you hateful bigot!”
“That religious person said I am living in sin!  Report them to the authorities and have them punished under our new hate speech laws.”
