My Secular Creed

Christians have the Apostles’ Creed of their beliefs.   As a secular, progressive, agnostic Democrat, I believe:

We must progress toward socialism and reject capitalism.

We must no longer recognize a shared Judeo-Christian morality and must reject the idea of human depravity.

We must accept moral relevance and reject Christian morality, faith, prayer, and concepts of good and evil.

We must accept deviancy as normal.

We must emphasize that if you uphold natural law or moral law, you are a bigot.

We must reject the belief in or need for a Christian God.

We must worship government and the president as our messiah.

We must have more laws to solve problems.

We must not accept that more prayer will solve problems.

We must insist that the more laws there are, the better off we will be because government is our god now.

We must promote the idea that we are born gay or straight, but can decide to become boys or girls.

We must redefine what causes a mass shooting and prevent it all in the name of gun control.
We must insist that gun control is the only solution.

We must not talk about mental illness or confining the mentally in institutions.
