June is the month for weddings.
Jesus compares the Kingdom of God to a wedding feast. Christ
is the head of his Church, the Bride, and all Christians look forward to
celebrate forever at the wedding feast of the Lamb.
Here is the prayer that used to end the Mass for Matrimony:
May the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of
Jacob be with you, and may He fulfill His blessing upon you; that you may
see your children’s children unto the third and fourth generation; and may
afterwards have everlasting life, without end, by the help of our Lord Jesus
Christ, who, with the father and the Holy Ghost, liveth and reigneth God, world
without end. Amen.
So, heaven will be like a
never-ending wedding feast.
