Findings
of Fact:
* In the wake of the 2004
elections, groups claiming to be Catholic sprung up tasked with deceiving
Catholics into voting for pro-abortion democrats. These groups are
fraudulently Catholic, indeed evil. They are not authentically Catholic
because their leaders reject Catholic teaching and doctrine. These
counterfeit Catholics push a perverted sense of “the common good.”
* These fake Catholic
political groups trace their false notion of common good back to 1983 when
leftist Cardinal Joseph Bernadin of Chicago gave a speech at Fordham University
in New York where he advocated the idea that all life issues have equal moral
weight. He created a moral equivalence among war, abortion, nuclear
weapons, and other “social injustices.” His so-called Seamless
Garment analogy ignored authentic Catholic doctrine and gave his liberal
(Democrat) followers a way to overlook the evil as abortion as just another sin
among many.
* The US bishops have a
history of being very friendly with the Democratic Party and usually walk in
lock step with their party platform with the exception of abortion and gay
marriage which they mostly ignore or minimize as a matter of conscience instead
of a diabolical threat to life and Catholic beliefs.
* In 2003 during the
Bush-Kerry Presidential contest, the US Conference of Catholic Bishops produced
“Faithful Citizenship: A Catholic Call to Political Responsibility” which
was contrived to allow Catholics to vote for either party despite the intrinsic
evils of abortion and same-sex marriage supported by the Democratic
Party. These evil party positions prompted true Catholic Archbishop
Raymond Burke to call the Democrats “the Party of Death.”
* Liberal Democrats were
shocked to discover that their efforts to elect John Kerry in 2004 were undone
by values voters who voted against Kerry because of his pro-abortion
views. The margin of pro-life voters in 2004 tipped the election to
George Bush. Democrats were stunned that they were perceived as the
anti-God party because of their support of abortion and homosexual rights.
* After the 2004 election
defeat, Alexia Kelly and Tom Perriello launched Catholics in Alliance for
the Common Good (CACG) with millions of dollars in donations from leftist
groups including George Soros ‘ Open Society Institute, ARCA Foundation, TIDES
Foundation, Center for American Progress, PBL Fund, and other far left
agencies. (PBL
Fund is run by retired Progressive Auto Insurance CEO Peter Lewis who is a
close ally of Soros.)
CACG has a far left agenda hiding behind their stated goal of advancing the
common good. The CACG focus is on anti-war, global warming, and
reproductive rights. It claims to be non-partisan but the leader (Alexis
Kelly) is a member of the DNC, President Obama’s campaign, and the campaign of
Democrat Governor of Kansas Sebilius who is Catholic in name only and who is
now the pro-abortion secretary of HHS under Obama. Alexia Kelly has
worked for several leftist Democrats and got her start working for the evil Catholic
Campaign for Human Development which is sponsored by the US Conference of
Catholic Bishops.

The cofounder of CACG, Tom Perriello, is also a Catholic in name only and is a
pro-choice Democrat. While running for the US Congress, he said that he would
not vote for Obamacare if it funded abortion, but he was elected on that
promise and promptly voted for Obamacare and its abortion provisions. He
lied to his voters, and he now says he will not allow any restrictions on
abortion. Perriello also created Faithful America and aligns
it with Faith in Public Life which is another leftist common good
organization funded by George Soros and dedicated to political
change. He is deeply involved with leftist anti-Catholic
circles. He hooked up with MoveOn.org and founded Avaaz to
form an Internet community to advance social justice and “common good”
initiatives.

Alfred Rotandaro is the chairman of CACG. He believes gay sex comes from
God, and women should be priests

Francis Xavier Doyle is the treasurer of CACG and a union organizer working for
Andrew Stern of the SEIU which gave $60 million to Obama’s election
campaign. He also got his start in leftist theology and politics at the
US Conference of Catholic Bishops.

CACG has a speakers’ bureau that provides speakers to conferences and meetings
all over the country to advance their twisted theology. One of those
speakers, Miguel Diaz, is now the Obama-appointed US Ambassador to the Vatican
which is a slap in the face to the pope.
* Catholics United was launched by Chris
Korzen who is another Catholic in name only who is closely allied with Alexia
Kelly and runs in the same far left circles. It’s reasonable to
assume they have many of the same shadowy financial backers of the Soros network
of socialists.

The cofounder of Catholics United is James Salt who previously worked at Pax
Christi which is a very liberal Catholic so-called social justice group
which openly advocates for homosexual rights and whose supporters include
Bishop Thomas Gumbleton of Detroit.
* In 2006, the far left Center
for American Progress released a report stressing the need for leftists to
adopt the idea of the “common good” as a political strategy. This
strategy was publicly unveiled by Bill Clinton himself on no less a stage than
Catholic Georgetown University in 2006. This twisted notion
of Catholic teaching on the common good has been acclaimed by leftist Catholics
and given to groups funded by George Soros who have a worldview opposed to Christ
and His Church.
* George Soros and his
wealthy allies gave millions of dollars to get Barack Obama elected with the
goal of advancing a new world order which includes taxpayer funding of
contraception and abortion, and acceptance of sodomy and gay marriage.
* On June 11, 2010 in St.
Peter’s Square, Pope Benedict commended to the faithful to get involved in
politics to defend Catholic beliefs and fight the threats to marriage and the
evils of abortion and sodomy. The US Bishops must not allow this evil co-opting
of the faith to continue, and we must not allow the bishops to fail in their
duty to defend the faith.
