Telluride

In this great comparison photo, we see the Mountain Quail Chute at the Telluride Ski Resort in Colorado during the winter and summer. The photos were taken by reddit user spacetaco12 who said the chute is located on the hike-to-terrain off of the Prospect chairlift.

Keen observers will note that the position on the mountain is not identical and that the summer image is slightly further to the right. This is due to the steep rockslide area which in the winter is just packed with snow and not a hazard. [source]

Telluride features over 2,000 skiable acres (810 hectares) of terrain and the mountain gets an average of more than 300 inches (762 cm) of snow and 300 days of sunshine each year. There are a total of 127 trails and a vertical drop of 4,425 ft (1,349 m).
