Today, we honor our guardian angel.
As you know, bourbon and scotch makers age their whiskeys
over many years, and some of the whiskey evaporates which is known as the “angels’
share” (while the liquid that seeps into the wood is known as the “devil’s
cut.”
So, pour yourself your favorite whiskey tonight and put out
an empty glass in honor of your guardian angel.
Even better, pour a second glass of whiskey and put it out
for your guardian angel to enjoy. If your guardian angel doesn’t
drink the whole glass, you can finish it and toast your angel with this prayer:
Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love commits me here, ever this day be at my side to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen
