You remember the story of Monica dying in Ostia.  Augustine and his family were travelling back to North Africa after his baptism in Milan.  There was civil unrest at the time and Ostia was blockaded.  While they were waiting, Monica became ill and died.  She famously told her son, (conf. 9):

“Lay this body anywhere, she said: let the care for it trouble you not at all; I ask only this, that you will remember me at the Lord’s altar, where so ever you may be.”

She was buried there in Ostia.  In the 6th century she was moved to the little church of St. Aurea.  In 1430 her remains were translated by Pope Martin V to the Roman Basilica of St. Augustine near the Piazza Navona.

9/11 Boat Lift - outstanding video clip!

We certainly were busy watching the news right after 9/11, but we never saw this......BOAT-LIFT OF 9/11..... You know, in the 11 years since this happened, this is the first time I've ever seen this...I don't even remember seeing/hearing about this evacuation on the news!  The fact is, it was all done in 9 hours...500,000 people! This is a statement that was read over the PA system at the football game at Roane County High School , Kingston , Tennessee, by school principal, Jody McLeod

"It has always been the custom at Roane County High School football games, to say a prayer and play the National Anthem, to honor God and Country."

Due to a recent ruling by the Supreme Court,
I am told that saying a Prayer is a violation of Federal Case Law. As I understand the law at this time, I can use this public facility to approve of sexual perversion and call it "an alternate life style,"and, if someone is offended, that's OK.

I can use it to condone sexual promiscuity, by dispensing condoms and calling it, "safe sex."
If someone is offended, that's OK.

I can even use this public facility to present the merits of killing an unborn baby as a "viable" means of birth control."
If someone is offended, no problem...

I can designate a school day as "Earth Day" and involve students in activities to worship religiously and praise the goddess, "Mother Earth", and call it "ecology.."

I can use literature, videos and presentations in the classroom that depicts people with strong, traditional Christian convictions as "simple minded" and "ignorant"and call it "enlightenment.."

However, if anyone uses this facility to honor GOD and to ask HIM to bless this event with safety and good sportsmanship, then Federal Case Law is violated.

This appears to be inconsistent at best, and at worst, diabolical.
Apparently, we are to be tolerant of everything and anyone, except GOD and HIS Commandments.

Nevertheless , as a school principal, I frequently ask staff and students to abide by rules with which they do not necessarily agree.
For me to do otherwise would be inconsistent at best, and at worst, hypocritical.

I suffer from that affliction enough unintentionally.

I certainly do not need to add an intentional transgression.

For this reason,
I shall "Render unto Caesar  that which is Caesar's," and refrain from praying  at this time.

" However, if you feel inspired to honor, praise and thank GOD and ask HIM, in the name of JESUS, to bless this event,  please feel free to do so..

As far as I know,  that's not against the law--yet."

One by one,  the people in the stands bowed their heads, held hands with one another and began to pray.

They prayed in the stands.

They prayed in the team huddles.
They prayed at the concession stand
and they prayed in the Announcer's Box!
The only place they didn't pray was in the Supreme Court of the United States of America-  the Seat of "Justice"in the "one nation, under GOD."
Somehow, Kingston , Tennessee , remembered what so many have forgotten.

Restoring Our Constitution

How to Rein in the Supreme Court

Constitutional scholar and radio show host, Mark Levin, has written a book proposing 10 amendments for the US Constitution to help restore liberty and federalism.

“One of Levin’s proposed Liberty Amendments reins in the judicial branch, setting term limits of 12 years for Supreme Court justices, and giving Congress the power to override Supreme Court opinions with a three-fifths vote, without risk of presidential veto.  Three-fifths of the state legislatures can also join forces to knock down a Court decision. 

That’s a recurring theme of the Liberty Amendments: the restoration of both congressional and state power.  As Levin repeatedly reminds us, nothing worried the Founders more than the rise of a despotic national executive, such as the one we have now.  The original states never would have signed on to a federal government that turned them into puppets.  There were strong logical arguments against these outcomes, which power-hungry progressives understood quite well, back when they first set about overturning the Constitutional order. 

Modern progressives don’t think they need to understand those arguments any more, because the foundation of the total State has been laid, and the clock can never be “turned back,” as one of their favorite slogans has it.  This should leave them at a severe intellectual disadvantage, if the Liberty Amendments become a topic of national debate.”

How To Restore a Balance of Power (Return to Federalism) in the USA

Constitutional scholar and radio talk show host, Mark Levin, has proposed 10 Liberty Amendments to restore our US Constitution that has been hijacked by the ruling elite in Washington, DC.
  
In accordance with Article 5 of the US Constitution, the states can hold conventions to draft proposed amendments instead of always being held hostage to the tyranny of the federal government.   If three-fourths of the states approve these amendments, the federal government would have to comply.  A Balance-of-Power would be restored to the states that has been taken from them over the last 100 years of “progressive” (liberal) politics that started with Woodrow Wilson and grew tremendously under FDR and was completely corrupted under Barack Obama.

Here are 3 more of the amendments that would help us restore federalism and return a balance of power between the states and the ruling elite at the national level in accordance with the US Constitution written by our Founding Fathers and as described in the Federalist Papers. 

8)      Allowing State Legislature to Amend the Constitution: Although the Framers intentionally made it difficult to amend the Constitution, they did so to preserve the Republic they created.  However, the progressives have illegally altered our Republic through a silent and gradual coup without using the amendment process.  If we are going to successfully push the aforementioned amendments, we will need an easier mechanism to force them through. The proposed amendment allows states to bypass Congress and propose an amendment with support of just two-thirds of the states (instead of three-fourths) and without convening a convention.

9)      State Authority to Override Congress:  A proposed amendment to allow states to override federal statutes by majority vote in two-thirds of state legislatures.  The last two proposals are rooted in the idea that the states only agreed to the Constitution on condition that their power would not be diluted and that all federal power is derived from the states.

10)  Protecting the Vote: A proposal to require photo ID for all federal elections and limit early voting.

Taken as a whole, there is no doubt that these amendments would restore our Republican form of government.  Every proposal is backed up by scholarly analysis of the Framers’ view on the proposal, an overview of what has changed since the founding, and the rationale for why the proposal is necessary.  You should read the entire book.

5)      Limiting bureaucracy:  He proposes an amendment to limit and sunset federal regulations and subject the existence of all federal departments to stand-alone reauthorization bills every three years.

6)      Defining the Commerce Clause:  Levin writes an amendment that, while technically unnecessary, is practically an imperative to restoring the original intent of the Commerce Clause.  The amendment would make it clear that the commerce clause grants not power to actively regulate and control activity; rather to prevent states from impeding commerce among other states, as Madison originally intended.

What Difference Does It Make?

Now the Clintons are preparing for their fourth White House campaign, and CNN and NBC are ready to help. And we're ready to stop them.

RNC Chairman Priebus is standing up to the networks and demanding that they abandon their pro-Hillary documentaries or the GOP will abandon them during the next round of Republican primary debates.

So I'm asking what difference can you make?

You can make a difference by joining Chairman Priebus in demanding that CNN and NBC abandon their pro-Hillary propaganda. Unless the networks agree to drop their documentaries, the RNC will move forward with a binding vote this Friday barring the GOP from partnering with CNN or NBC on Republican presidential primary debates.

Epic Letter Of Apology To Obama

We Americans really don’t deserve to have this wonderful president.   As a nation, we are not worthy.

This has to be one of the best I’ve seen in a while. Matt Walsh who runs  blog, wrote this letter to Barack Hussein Obama yesterday in response mainly to the rodeo clown in Missouri and how he is very sorry that it must have hurt his feelings. Hope you find it as amusing as we did here at The Free Patriot:

Dear President Obama,

I’m reaching out to you as a friend. I know you must be deeply hurting after what happened at the Missouri State Fair. Sure, you probably try to avoid watching the news while you’re on vacation, but I’m sure the pilot who airlifted your dog to your rental mansion in Martha’s Vineyard probably caught you up to speed (that guy is such a chatterbox). Your jaw must have hit the floor when you heard the news: A rodeo clown in Missouri poked fun at you. Yeah, I know, almost impossible to believe. The gall! The gumption! The racism! Don’t worry, the entire country erupted in outrage, Democrats and Republicans issued statements of condemnation, and now the offending clown has been banned for life from the Missouri State Fair. There will likely be “action taken” against the Missouri Rodeo Clown Association, and I do hope justice is visited upon them swiftly. I think we’re all a little sick of the Missouri Rodeo Clown Association causing trouble. It’s something new every week with those freakin’ guys.

But all of this is of no consolation. The fact is, a rodeo clown in Missouri made fun of you. Nothing can ever ease the pain he has caused. This sort of crass lampooning of public officials has never happened at a rodeo until now, and I know that because a bunch of people who have never been within 150 miles of a rodeo said so. And then — worse still — the crowd erupted in applause at the spectacle of a guy in an Obama mask being chased by a rampaging bull. Racists, the lot of ‘em! I mean, Bush never got this sort of treatment. Nobody ever mocked or satirized him. No crude jokes were told about him. Nobody ever wished violence or death upon him. Ever. You know why? Because he’s white. White presidents always get treated nicely, especially white Republicans. Just ask Lincoln. The whole country agreed for over two centuries that we don’t ever insult presidents, then you get into office and all of a sudden every day is Pick on the President Day. Outrageous!

Besides, you are due some respect. You’ve earned it. You’ve done nothing but serve these people and make their lives better, and this is how they treat you? Ungrateful brats. You should drone bomb these haters. Just kidding. But seriously, you should. You’re the first president in history to actually order the assassination of American citizens, and I say why stop with some Muslim propagandist and his completely innocent son who never committed any crime at all?

I’m especially sick of these punks in the middle class who won’t stop complaining about you. What’s their issue? OK, you haven’t done anything about the unemployment rate your whole time in office, median household incomes have dropped, less businesses are opening, the number of people in poverty has increased while the number of high paying jobs has decreased, all of this while taxes go up and Obamacare looms, threatening to strangle small business owners and put thousands more out of work, but so what? I’ve got two words: Food stamps. Or is it foodstamps? I don’t know, I can’t spell it, I can just use it to get my Lucky Charms and Dr. Pepper. You’ve made all of this “work” crap obsolete by increasing the entitlement state more than any president ever in history! You’re adding more than 11 thousand Americans a day to SNAP. You’ve got millions relying on the government for rent, cable, phone, even birth control. I guess this horrible economy stuff would be kind of a bummer if not for all the delicious welfare. Who needs an economy anymore? We’ve got you, baby.

So how could anyone be upset at you? How could they delight at the degradation and mockery of Barack Obama? What’s wrong with these right wing rednecks? Are they still sore about the whole thing where you sent the IRS after your political opponents to harass and hinder them during an election cycle? Or the stuff about spying on the phone records of every American? What about all this business about you arming and funding Islamic Militants overseas and then orchestrating a coverup when a bunch of them murdered your ambassador? Are folks STILL mad that you funneled weapons to drug cartels and then threatened whistleblowers into silence? Or is it all this fuss over your Justice Department spying on and attempting to prosecute journalists? Is it the wildly unpopular two thousand page health care law? The regulation mandating that religious employers provide abortifacients to their employees? The millions of tax dollars you’ve given to the abortion industry and the blessings you wished upon a group of wealthy abortionists? The bailouts? The green energy scams? The massive expansion of government? The out of control deficit spending? The lies? The broken promises? The betrayals? The corruption? The attacks on our fundamental liberties?

I can’t imagine why anyone would get too worked about any of that. Like you said, that stuff didn’t happen. Or it did, but it’s not a big deal. Or it’s not a big deal because it didn’t. I can’t remember, I just know that you treat anyone who raises any of these concerns with utter contempt and disregard, which clearly proves that they are wrong.

Mr. Obama, IF you WERE actually guilty of being a deceitful despot who murders, conspires, and steals, then obviously all true Americans would have no choice but to giggle with glee at the sight of your likeness being gouged by an angry bull. Fortunately, that isn’t the case, which is why I’d like to apologize on for the entire state of Missouri, for everyone who has ever attended a state fair, and for everyone in the rodeo clown community.

You are still special, and I still love you.

Just a quick reminder – tomorrow is the Feast of the Assumption, a Holy Day of Obligation and a defined dogma of the Catholic Church.

Celebrated every year on August 15, the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary commemorates the death of Mary and her bodily assumption into Heaven, before her body could begin to decay--a foretaste of our own bodily resurrection at the end of time.

On November 1, 1950, Pope Pius XII, exercising papal infallibility and declared that it is a dogma of the Church "that the Immaculate Mother of God, the ever Virgin Mary, having completed the course of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul into heavenly glory." As a dogma, the Assumption is a required belief of all Catholics; anyone who publicly dissents from the dogma, Pope Pius declared, "has fallen away completely from the divine and Catholic Faith."

Rubio in 2016?

Some political pundits think it should be Rubio in 2016 for the following reasons:

-      Rubio is young and Hispanic.   Republicans must stop being the rich (Romney), old (Romney and McCain), white guy party.  

-       Rubio is not a rich white guy from the northeast like Mitt Romney.

-       Rubio has a good family story about his family coming from Cuba.

-       Rubio can appeal to the blue-collar workers as Rubio is not rich and had a lien on his house.

-       Rubio will appeal to the young as he is still paying off college loans and looks young.

-       Rubio will appeal to Hispanics when he speaks in Spanish.

-       Rubio will appeal to the few religious people left in the country if he talks about God.

-       Rubio is a gifted speaker.   His speeches invoke Reaganism.

-       Rubio thinks fast on his feet in debates and would be impressive up against Hillary and not a wimp like Romney.

-       Rubio may be able to convince people that we’ve had enough from the Bush Family (old moderates) – and enough from the Clinton Family (old crooks).

-       Rubio is from the southeast and not from the leftist northeast like Romney and Christie of NJ. 

-       Republican candidates from the northeast always lose as the rest of the country doesn’t like those people – like big mouth moderate Christie.

-       Rubio looks healthier than Christie who is a walking heart attack and can be a wise guy which turns off women. 

-       Voters still vote on looks, and Rubio looks better than other Republicans, and women will vote based  on physical appearance (women are sexist).

-       Men will vote for Rubio because he looks like a guy you can drink a beer with as opposed to a Romney or Bush.

-       2016 will be the year of angry voters who are fed up with Obama.   Carter resulted in Reagan, and Rubio should act like Reagan.

-       People will have forgotten Rubio’s push for comprehensive immigration reform, especially if talks about border enforcement first.

-       Rubio needs to get busy acting like a conservative.  That is why he is pushing now for defunding Obamacare.

-       Rubio have an agenda that is lacking from the Republicans now. 

-       (I will tell Rubio to embrace Mark Levin’s 11 proposed Liberty Amendments.  This will help him run against the ruling class in DC and make him look like a populist.) 

If Republicans are stupid (which they are), Christie will be their (moderate, northeastern) nominee,  and that would ensure northeastern Hillary gets elected.

Whatever Became of the 10 Lost Tribes of Israel?

The ten lost tribes of Israel. Similar claims are made about the falasha Jews in Ethiopia.

Mormons believe that the ten tribes will be reconstituted on U.S. territory.

Carroll simply says these ten tribes became part of the broader Jewish diaspora across the Mediterranean world. But he also links them to the development of the Zoroastrianism, a Persian religion that taught that there was a creation, is a heaven and a hell, and will be a savior and a resurrection (according to historian Nigel Cliff in The Last Crusade). The connection is all the more striking when we consider that centuries later three Zoroastrian priests braved the Arabian deserts and outsmarted Herod to pay homage to the infant Christ.

How the US Marines Stopped Islamic Predation

Here's some history that you've never been taught . . .

Shortly before he died in June 632 AD, Mohammed ordered Muslims to prepare to wage war against the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire.

Upon his death, Mohammed's successor, Abu Bakr, planned to fulfill those instructions. Plans were also made to conquer Persia.


By 634 AD, Christian Palestine and Syria were being attacked.

Roman-held Jerusalem was besieged in November 636 AD, and surrendered by the following April.

By 674 AD, the Muslims had taken Christian Egypt and much of Anatolian Turkey, and were besieging Constantinople.

By 709 AD, all of Christian North Africa had fallen to Islam.

In 711 AD, the Muslims invaded Christian Spain, again taking advantage of weakness caused by internecine wars. It would be 781 years before Spain would be free. Among Islamic Andalusia's contributions to civilization were the demanded tribute of 100 white virgins every year to staff their harems.

By 732, the Muslims had advanced to central France, where they were finally repelled by Franks at the battle of Tours. Western Europe had been temporarily spared.

Christian Malta fell to Islam in 870 AD. Islam's contribution's to local culture was piracy. Malta became a staging point for predatory raids on Southern Europe.

Later on, historians would blame the Dark Ages on the Germanic Tribes, but the Goths and Vikings readily Christianized and embraced the higher civilization of the lands they conquered. The reality is that Islamic raiding is what produced the Dark Ages. Trade and the economy collapsed under the Muslim threat, plunging Europe into stagnation.

In 1095, after centuries of Muslim aggression, Pope Urban II finally had enough, and called Christians to war. He did so after the Byzantine Empire, now broken away from Roman Catholicism, appealed for fraternal help from the Western Christians to save them from Islam.

However, Islamic aggression did not end with the Crusades.

The reason Columbus headed West was because the Muslims had blocked all trade routes to the East. Yet, we are never told this.

Up until the 16th century, Italy was regularly invaded by Islam. Otranto was taken by the Turks in 1480, and held for only 10 months. Yet, it was time enough to behead over 800 Christians who refused to convert.

Piracy and kidnapping was so common that Catholic Churches in Southern Europe had donation boxes where the faithful could contribute to ransom hostages.

One could go on and on. The Islamic subjugation of Greece and the Balkans. The kidnapping of hundreds of thousands of Christian boys, over the centuries, to be forcibly converted to Islam, and compelled to serve in the Ottoman Army as Janissaries.

The Islamic attempt to take Vienna. Twice! In 1529 and 1683.

A half million or more slaves from the British Isles were kidnapped on the high seas by the religion of peace.

It was not until the U.S. Marines took on the Barbary Pirates and the French razed Algeria that Islamic predation finally stopped in the 19th century; but all of this is forgotten. Somehow, white Christians are the only villains now.

But what do our politicians do, but apologize for the Crusades. Why?! Have the Muslims apologized for 1400 years of their crimes?!

Let us not forget that it was Catholic Europe which insulated Northwest European Protestants from Islam's full fury. It was Catholic Spain which eventually broke the Turkish fleet at the Battle of Lepanto in 1571. It was Catholic Poland's Jan Sobieski who saved Northwest Europe at Vienna in 1683 AD. It was the Catholic French who tamed Algeria in 1830.

Let us not forget either that it was Catholic France which saved the Christians of Lebanon in 1860 while the Protestant British were arming the Druze.

The time for apologizing to Islam must end.

Whatever became of the Ark of the Covenant?

The Ark of the Covenant is one of the most enigmatic entities of all time. It contained the tablets of the Ten Commandments, some manna, and Aaron’s staff that had budded. Encased in gold-plated acacia wood, it was topped by two golden cherubim, angels associated with God’s presence. In ancient Israel, this ark was a force to be reckoned with: it cleared the River Jordan, sent the walls of Jericho tumbling down, and killed the false Canaanite god. Even touching it risked instant death. But in 587 BC, after the Babylonian sacking of Jerusalem, the ark went missing. 

Scripture says little about its fate, other than that it would not be rebuilt, according to Jeremiah 3:16. (2 Maccabees <http://www.drbo.org/chapter/46002.htm>  also says that Jeremiah hid the ark in a cave, but this anecdote is quoted from another source. Dozens of theories have been spun as to what happened to it, ranging from claims that it was hidden under Golgotha by the Jews, pilfered by an Egyptian pharaoh, somehow ended up in possession of the African Lemba tribe, or was simply destroyed by the Babylonians.

One of the most intriguing claims is made by the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, which says that Menelik, the supposed son of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba, spirited the ark away to Ethiopia where it has been ever since and remains sequestered to this day in a small shed-shaped shrine in the northern city of Aksum, where only one Orthodox monk is allowed to set eyes upon it.

In Ethiopian Orthodoxy, the ark is no oddity or historical artifact—it’s at the center of their faith. In fact,no church in Ethiopia is a valid house of worship unless it has a replica of the ark within it. The Ethiopian claim is indeed extraordinary, but so is the survival of Ethiopian Orthodoxy in the heart of Africa during the millennium between the Council of Chalcedon in 451 AD and the arrival of Jesuit missionaries in the 1500s. Many Ethiopians credit the ark with sustaining their faith over the centuries.

More Insanity

Who voted for this insanity?  Oh, yeah, all the Democrats . . .

So, the Obama Administration forces everyone to get health coverage, but for a non-profit hospital to maintain its non-profit status, it has to treat a minimum number of those without coverage.  But that pool of people will shrink dramatically, thus driving hospitals into the taxable category.

Good grief.

Obamacare Insanity

Stop the Insanity . . .

 

You are a homeless person.  You are sick and you know it is bad.  You stagger into the ER of St. Ipsidipsy Catholic Hospital in Tall Tree Circle.  You have no insurance, health coverage, or money.  You are seen by a doctor and treated.

The Obama Administration then punishes the hospital for treating you, a person without government-approved obligatory Obamacare.

Charitable hospitals that treat uninsured Americans will be subjected to new levels of scrutiny of their nonprofit status and could face sizable new fines under Obamacare.

A new provision in Section 501 of the Internal Revenue Code, which takes effect under Obamacare, sets new standards of review and installs new financial penalties for tax-exempt charitable hospitals, which devote a minimum amount of their expenses to treat uninsured poor people. Approximately 60 percent of American hospitals are currently nonprofit.

Unsolved Mysteries: Who was Melchizedek?

Seemingly out of nowhere, Melchizedek bursts onto the scene in Genesis 14, venturing out from a city called Salem—a possible precursor to Jerusalem—to bless Abraham and offer a sacrifice of “bread and wine.”

Centuries before the formal founding of the Israelite priesthood, Melchizedek is identified as a priest, one who somehow, apart from Abraham, had come to know the true God. Melchizedek was also the ruler of Salem, hence his name, which means king of righteousness.

Who was this mysterious man? Later Scripture only raises more questions than answers. In Hebrews 7:3 we read that Melchizedek was “without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life, but likened unto the Son of God, continueth a priest for ever” (Douay-Rheims).

According to the Haydock Bible Commentary <http://haydock1859.tripod.com/id251.html>  this verse is not saying that Melchizedek had no parents, only that they are unknown to us: life remains hidden with the Christ Whom he foreshadowed.

Bring Me The Head of San Lorenzo

St Lawrence is especially honored in the city of Rome, where he is one of the city's patrons. There are several churches in Rome dedicated to him, including San Lorenzo in Panisperna, traditionally identified as the place of his execution. 

He is invoked by librarians, archivists, cooks, and tanners as their patron. 

His celebration on 10 August has the rank of feast throughout the entire Catholic world. On this day, the reliquary containing his burnt head is displayed in the Vatican for veneration.

August 10:  Saint Lawrence of Rome - Deacon and Martyr

At the beginning of the month of August, 258, the emperor Valerian issued an edict commanding that all bishops, priests, and deacons should immediately be put to death. Sixtus was captured on August 6, 258, at the cemetery of St. Callixtus while celebrating the liturgy and executed forthwith.

After the death of Sixtus, the prefect of Rome demanded that Lawrence turn over the riches of the Church. Ambrose is the earliest source for the tale that Lawrence asked for three days to gather together the wealth.   Lawrence worked swiftly to distribute as much Church property to the poor as possible, so as to prevent its being seized by the prefect. On the third day, at the head of a small delegation, he presented himself to the prefect, and when ordered to give up the treasures of the Church, he presented the poor, the crippled, the blind and the suffering, and said that these were the true treasures of the Church. One account records him declaring to the prefect, "The Church is truly rich, far richer than your emperor." This act of defiance led directly to his martyrdom. This can be compared to the parallel Roman tale of the jewels of Cornelia.

On the 10th of August, Lawrence, the last of the seven deacons, also suffered a martyr's death.

The prefect was so angry that he had a great gridiron prepared, with coals beneath it, and had Lawrence’s body placed on it,(hence St. Lawrence's association with the gridiron). After the martyr had suffered the pain for a long time, the legend concludes, he made his famous cheerful remark, “I'm well done. Turn me over!”

From this derives his patronage of cooks and chefs.

Constantine I is said to have built a small oratory in honour of the martyr, which was a station on the itineraries of the graves of the Roman martyrs by the seventh century. Pope Damasus I rebuilt or repaired the church, now known as San Lorenzo fuori le Mura, while the minor basilica of San Lorenzo in Panisperna was built over the place of his martyrdom. The gridiron of the martyrdom was placed byPope Paschal II in the church of San Lorenzo in Lucina.
