The Wounded
Warrior Project has apologized for rejecting donations from a Baptist church
and said the incident was “blown out of proportion” even though the
organization’s website states that religious donations are not
accepted. Read this article: http://radio.foxnews.com/toddstarnes/top-stories/wounded-warrior-project-apologizes-for-rejecting-church-donation.html
The Wounded
Warrior Project website states: “WWP does not co-brand, create cause marketing
campaigns or receive a percentage or a portion of proceeds from companies in
which the product or message is sexual, political or religious
in nature, or from alcohol or weapons companies.”
What’s so wrong with alcohol and weapons companies donating some of their
profits to helping our wounded veterans?
The salaries
paid to the WWP staff are outrageous for a charity group. The
administrator makes over $300,000 a year. Other key staff members make
six figure salaries, and they take annual bonuses for themselves.
Shouldn’t more of this money be going to wounded veterans?
There are reports
that they delete questions and unfavorable comments on their Facebook page.
There are
reports that they reject get well cards to veterans if there are any religious
sentiments expressed on those cards.
There are
major concerns with that charitable organization.
My money will
no longer be going to Wounded Warrior Project. There are other more
worthy charities that support our wounded veterans.

reviews of WWP at Charity Navigator and see a list of alternate charities with
