The Official Texas Sheriff Exam

A young Texan grew up wanting to be a lawman. He grew up big, 6' 2", strong as a
longhorn, and fast as a mustang.. He could shoot a bottle cap tossed in the air at 40 paces.
When he finally came of age, he applied to where he had only dreamed of
working: the West Texas Sheriff's Department.

After a series of tests and interviews, the Chief Deputy finally
called him into his office for the young man's last interview. The
Chief Deputy said, "You're a big strong kid and you can really shoot.
So far your qualifications all look good, but we have, what you might
call, an "Attitude Suitability Test", that you must take before you can be
accepted. We just don't let anyone carry our badge, son."

Then, sliding a service pistol and a box of ammo across the desk, the
Chief said, "Take this pistol and go out and shoot:

* six illegal aliens,
* six lawyers,
* six meth dealers,
* six Muslim extremists,
* six Democrats, and
* a rabbit."

"Why the rabbit?" queried the applicant.

"Great attitude. You pass," said the Chief Deputy. "When can you start?"

Two Aurora Shootings: One Widely Known; the Other Ignored

On April 22 of this year a convicted felon, just out of jail, went to an Aurora, Colorado, church and shot and killed a member of the congregation before being killed himself by a congregant carrying a gun.

On July 20, following the horrific shooting at a movie theater in Aurora, President Obama offered his condolences to the victims of the more recent tragedy. "Our time here [on Earth] is limited and it is precious," the president said. "And what matters at the end of the day is not the small things, it’s not the trivial things which so often consume us and our daily lives. It’s about how we choose to treat one another and how we love one another."

Obama then led his supporters at a rally in Fort Myers, Florida, in a moment of silent prayer “for all the victims of less publicized acts of violence that plague our communities every single day.”

No doubt the president was unaware of the other, less-publicized lethal shooting that took place earlier in the year in Aurora, when there was only one victim, thanks to the quick thinking and action of a responsibly armed individual. Aurora police spokesman Frank Fania asked rhetorically: “Who knows what would’ve happened if the [church member, an off-duty police officer] had not been there? It certainly could have been a lot worse.”

How much worse? Could the killing spree have been as bad as the shooting at the movie theater, where a dozen victims lost their lives? Thankfully, we'll never know.

The killer in the April shooting was 29-year-old Kiarron Parker, who had just been released from prison. He had been convicted for assaulting two police officers, drug abuse, and breaking and entering. The details are here and here. But the point is clear: Because the perpetrator was able to claim only one life before being killed himself by someone carrying a gun and acting in self-defense, it garnered relatively little publicity.

In contrast, by now there may hardly be a single sentient soul in the country who doesn’t yet know what happened on Friday, July 20 at about 12:38 a.m., when James Egan Holmes opened fire on a theater full of people attending the premier of the latest Batman movie, killing 12 individuals and wounding at least another 50.

Did you know that the USA was founded as a Masonic Republic?

Here is a very interesting podcast.   Gerry Matatics talks about the influence of Free Masonry on our founding fathers.
You will be shocked to hear about Ben Franklin, George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson.

Deism is a religious philosophy which holds that reason and observation of the natural world, without the need for organized religion, can determine that the universe is the product of a creator. According to deists, God never intervenes in human affairs or suspends the natural laws of the universe. Deists typically reject supernatural events such as prophecy and miracles, tending instead to assert that a god (or "the Supreme Architect") does not alter the universe by intervening in it. This idea is also known as the clockwork universe theory, in which a god designs and builds the universe, but steps aside to let it run on its own. Two main forms of deism currently exist: classical deism and modern deism.  The earliest known usage in print of the English term deist is 1621,[3] and deism is first found in a 1675 dictionary.[4][5] Deism became more prominent in the 17th and 18th centuries during the Age of Enlightenment—especially in Britain, France, Germany and America among intellectuals raised as Christians who found they could not believe in supernatural miracles, the inerrancy of scriptures, or the Trinity, but who did believe in one God. Deistic ideas also influenced several leaders of the American and French Revolutions.  (Wikipedia)

Obama's 2013 Tax Hikes Could Kill 710,000 Jobs

·
‎"A new study by powerhouse accounting firm Ernst & Young finds that Obama's proposed tax hikes could kill 710,000 jobs nationwide, including 12,200 here in Colorado.

The study found that the tax increases could result in an over $200 billion hit to the economy, with $3.5 billion of lost economic output in Colorado."

Ten Reasons For Liberals To Dislike Mitt Romney:

1.    Handsome with gracious, statesmanlike aura...  Looks like a Commander-in-Chief.

2.    Been married to ONE woman his entire life, and has been faithful to her, including through her bouts with breast cancer and MS.

3.    No scandals or skeletons in his closet. (How boring is that?)

4.    Can't speak in a fake, southern, "black preacher voice" when necessary.

5.    Highly intelligent. Graduated cum laude from both Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School...and by the way, his academic records are NOT sealed !!

6.    Doesn't smoke or drink alcohol, and has never done drugs, not even in the counter-culture age when he went to college. Too square for today's America?

8.   Represents an America of "yesterday", where people believed in God, went to Church, didn't screw around, worked hard, and became a SUCCESS!

8.   Has a family of five great sons....and none of them have police records or are in drug rehab. But of course, they were raised by a stay-at-home mom, and that "choice" deserves America's scorn.

9.   He's a MORMON...  very strange religion that teaches its members to be clean-living, patriotic, fiscally conservative, charitable, self-reliant, and honest.

10.   Pundits say because of his wealth, he can't relate to ordinary Americans. I guess that's because he made that money HIMSELF ...as opposed to marrying it or inheriting it from Dad.  Apparently, he didn't understand that actually working at a job and earning your own money made you un-electable to Americans.

Here’s Your Pro-Gun Story!

It is my opinion that had the people within the theater been men and women who were armed as they entered, one of three things would have happened: Holmes would have thought twice about pulling a stunt like this, he would have been killed within seconds of starting his shooting spree, or he would have never got off a shot as soon as he exposed his weapons.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure this out. People are made vulnerable by intrusive gun control laws. The only gun control that is necessary is to be able to hit your target.

The Second Amendment is not to be messed with and yet state and federal government bureaucrats are constantly writing new laws against the rights and freedoms guaranteed by our Creator in the Second Amendment.

The Second Amendment states:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The right of people to not only keep their arms, but to also bear them are rights that are not to be violated, transgressed or broken. With every new asinine gun control law that is written this is exactly what the government does. They leave in place the language of the Second Amendment, while at the same time writing laws that violate the Second Amendment and do you know what? It costs lives.

Liberals and some who claim to be conservative support all sorts of measures regarding guns. They think making laws will keep people safe. The only problem is that law abiding citizens are the only ones keeping those laws. Criminals don’t care. Furthermore, laws don’t stop people from committing crimes. They are just words on paper that say declare where the line in the sand is and criminals are more than willing to cross that line.

Why will conservatives not stand up at this time and point to the tragedies like what happened today, or the columbine shootings which took place not far from today’s tragedy and declare, “People need firearms to protect themselves from criminals like this, because a law doesn’t stop a criminal with a gun or many guns. The police don’t stop a criminal with a gun, but those who would be victims can survive if they are left to carry a weapon to defend themselves, their loved ones, strangers and property.”

Why won’t they do it? They are spineless, weak, limp-wristed sissys who are not upholding and defending the Constitution, but rather are looking out for themselves.

While I express my condolences to the families of all those who were lost today, much of this tragedy could have been averted if government would not infringe upon the rights of the people.

Why is popular consensus evolving on gay marriage?

Why are some younger people “evolving” and starting to support gay marriage?

It is called moral relativism, not evolution.

It is well to worry about our moral foundation. We live in a world where more and more persons of influence are teaching and acting out a belief that there is no absolute right and wrong, that all authority and all rules of behavior are man-made choices that can prevail over the commandments of God. Many even question whether there is a God.

The philosophy of moral relativism, which holds that each person is free to choose for himself what is right and wrong, is becoming the unofficial creed for many in America and other western nations. At the extreme level, evil acts that used to be localized and covered up like a boil are now legalized and paraded like a banner. Persuaded by this philosophy, many of the rising generation’s youth and young adults are caught up in self-serving pleasures, pagan painting and piercing of body parts, foul language, revealing attire, pornography, dishonesty, and degrading sexual indulgence.

On the foundation belief in right and wrong there is an alarming contrast between the older and the younger generations. According to survey data of two decades ago, 80 percent of American adults believed there are clear guidelines about what is good and evil that apply to everyone regardless of the situation.  In contrast, a more recent poll of college seniors suggests that three-quarters of [them] believe that the difference between right and wrong is relative. €
