Do You Have Time?

It doesn't make any difference whether you go regularly to church or used to go or never went at all, you have to think about God and your future sometimes. You never know when you have to reach out for a friend or family member for help or comfort. Don’t forget about God. He never forgets about you!
Time For God @ Christmas
Time For God All Year

Read only if you have time for God.  Make sure you read all the way to the bottom.

I almost deleted this email but I was blessed when I got to the end.

When I received this e-mail, I thought...  I don't have time for this...  And, this is really inappropriate during work.

Then, I realized that this kind of thinking is... Exactly, what has caused a lot of the problems in our world today.

We try to keep God in church on Sunday morning....

Maybe, Sunday night...

And, the unlikely event of a midweek service.

We do like to have Him around during sickness....

And, of course, at funerals.

However, we don't have time, or room, for Him during work or play...

Because.. That's the part of our lives we think.. We can, and should, handle on our own.

May God forgive me for ever thinking. . .  That... There is a time or place where... HE is not to be FIRST in my life.

We should always have time to remember all HE has done for us.

If, You aren't ashamed to do this...

Please follow the directions.

Jesus said, 'If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you before my Father.'

Not ashamed?

Pass this on ONLY IF YOU MEAN IT!!

Yes, I DO Love God.

HE is my source of existence and Savior.

He keeps me functioning each and every day.

Without Him, I will be nothing.  But, with Christ, HE strengthens me.  (Phil 4:13)

About The Sound Of Music

10 Things You Didn’t Know About ‘The Sound of Music’ and the Real-Life Maria von Trapp
By Tyler Coates on Dec 5, 2013 10:15am
Tonight, NBC will broadcast The Sound of Music Live!, which is exactly what it sounds like: a live production of the classic Rogers and Hammerstein musical. Starring Carrie Underwood as Maria von Trapp, the nun who forsakes her religious calling to marry the man she loves so they can tour the world with their brood of singing children, the production is the first live television event of its kind in decades. The Sound of Music is a beloved family classic, but there’s quite a lot you may not know about the musical, the wildly popular film based upon it, and the real-life Maria von Trapp. . .

The Lying Liar Who Lies @ Liar-in-Chief

"[H]e who permits himself to tell a lie once, finds it much easier to do it a second and a third time, till at length it becomes habitual; he tells lies without attending to it, and truths without the world's believing him." --Thomas Jefferson (1785)

The first is the fact that Obama has depleted all his credibility capital. The entire nation now knows that he lied about O'Care just to pass it, assuring Americans they could keep their insurance and doctors if they wanted to. "Period." Obama then repeated those lies often. Then it was discovered that Obama knew he was lying way back in 2010. Then he claimed that the5.5 million cancelled policies were statistically insignificant. Then it was discovered that almost100 million additional policies are subject to cancellation come January. Then he told new lies to cover up the old lies. Then he crowned those lies with another BIG lie.
When Obama said, "You can keep your plan," "You can keep your doctor," and "Premiums will go down by $2,500 per family," he knew he was lying. Apparently this consummate pathological narcissist believes that if he says it that trumps the truth and reality. Or maybe he believes, ashis sycophants do, that, "We can deal with the lies that President Obama tells us because we believe in his heart he has the best interest for the American people."

Remember to Hang Your Stockings With Care Tonight @ St. Nicholas is coming to town

December 6:  Merry St. Nicholas Day!

Legends of St. Nicholas
In his most famous exploit, a poor man had three daughters but could not afford a proper dowry for them. This meant that they would remain unmarried and probably, in absence of any other possible employment, would have to become prostitutes. Hearing of the girls' plight, Nicholas decided to help them, but being too modest to help the family in public (or to save them the humiliation of accepting charity), he went to the house under the cover of night and threw three purses (one for each daughter) filled with gold coins through the window opening into the house.
One version has him throwing one purse for three consecutive nights. Another has him throwing the purses over a period of three years, each time the night before one of the daughters comes of age. Invariably, the third time the father lies in wait, trying to discover the identity of their benefactor. In one version the father confronts the saint, only to have Saint Nicholas say it is not him he should thank, but God alone. In another version, Nicholas learns of the poor man's plan and drops the third bag down the chimney instead; a variant holds that the daughter had washed her stockings that evening and hung them over the embers to dry, and that the bag of gold fell into the stocking.

Song of the Season

"O Come, Divine Messiah" is an English-language version of an old French Christmas hymn, "Venez divin Messie."

It is a popular hymn sung in Traditional Catholic churches during the penitential season of Advent.

This instrumental version is from "French Christmas Music" by Bartholomew:
