Emperor Obama's Edict

From CNA:
Obama’s Final Word: Catholics Must Buy/Provide Coverage for Abortion Drugs
June 29, 2013
(CNSNews.com) – The Department of Health and Human Services today released the final text of the final adjustments to the Obamacare regulation that requires virtually all health-care plans to provide cost-free coverage for sterilizations, contraceptives and abortion-inducing drugs.
Catholics and Evangelical Christians have objected to the regulation, arguing that it violates their First Amendment right to the free exercise of religion. The Catholic Church teaches that sterilization, contraception and abortion are all intrinsically immoral. Evangelical Christians believe that abortion takes an innocent human life and is thus wrong.
The final regulation issued today provides no accommodations at all for individual Catholics and other Christians who morally object to the mandate. It also makes no accommodations for private for-profit employers who morally object to the mandate.
Catholic and other Christian individuals in the United States will now be forced by the Obama administration to buy insurance coverage that pays for sterilizations, contraceptives and abortion-inducing drugs–whether they want that coverage or not and even though it forces them to act against their faith.

Facebook Censors Conservatives

Facebook blocked Fox News Radio’s Todd Starnes after he posted a message on his fan page supporting the National Rifle Association, Paula Deen and Jesus. He was also prevented from posting a daily Bible verse on the page.

“I’m about as politically incorrect as you can get,” Starnes wrote on his Facebook page. “I’m wearing an NRA ball cap, eating a Chick-fil-A sandwich, reading a Paula Deen cookbook and sipping a 20-ounce sweet tea while sitting in my Cracker Barrel rocking chair with the Gather Vocal Band singing ‘Jesus Saves’ on the stereo and a Gideon’s Bible in my pocket. Yes sir, I’m politically incorrect and happy as a June bug.”

Facebook later apologized and posted the comment.

Pagans and Demons

Many Christians are Pagans Says Archbishop
“Pagan.”
That’s how the leader of Philadelphia’s 1.5 million Catholics referred to “many self-described Christians.”
Archbishop Charles Chaput (formerly bishop of Denver) made the controversial comment while calling for a “new evangelization” during a 3,000-word speech delivered last Saturday at the Junipero Serra (a 19th Century Franciscan priest who is credited with establishing missions in California) International Convention in Mallorca, Spain.
Here’s the quote from the speech:

“A new evangelization must start with the sober knowledge that much of the once-Christian developed world, and even many self-described Christians, are in fact pagan. Christian faith is not a habit. It’s not a useful moral code. It’s not an exercise in nostalgia. It’s a restlessness, a consuming fire in the heart to experience the love of Jesus Christ and then share it with others -- or it’s nothing at all.”

It’s all very simple really:
If you don’t practice your religion by going to church at least weekly and praying daily, you are a pagan.

Also:
Don’t confuse pagans with demons.
If you are a Democrat or vote for a Democrat, you belong to the party of death and are possessed by demons.
Remember, Democrats are manifestations of demons.   Just look at Pelosi, Biden, Kerry, and Justice Kennedy.
Seek an exorcism.  Don’t vote for demons!

You Cowardly Chauvinistic Americans: Open Your Borders

Immigration and the Next America
by Archbishop Gomez of Los Angeles
Migrant Committee of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB)

The archbishop writes:

Fears about America’s future have given rise to a new nativism.

Their idea is that 'real' Americans descend from white Europeans and that our culture is based on the individualism, work ethic, and rule of law that we inherited from our Anglo-Protestant forebears.

We must acknowledge that there have been times in our history when we have allowed our fears to drag us down.

Immigration debate has a “persistent undertone” of “fear and … chauvinism.”

America is focusing on “justice and law” to the exclusion of “compassion and common sense.”

A root cause of the immigration problem, the archbishop said, is economic inequality, and that the situation will not change until inequality across the Americas is addressed.

“the arguments of today’s nativists aren’t much different than those of nativists in years gone by.”

Migration is a natural right.

“governments must be careful not to use their policies as an excuse to deny decent people the right to seek their livelihood,” nor “deny the natural human right to immigration out of exaggerated fears for national security or selfish concerns about threats to domestic jobs or standards of living,”

In summary:
You cowardly chauvinistic Americans who believe in individualism, work ethic, and rule of law are causing us to lose our soul.

Note to Archbishop Gomez:
Try selling your book in Mexico and see what the Mexican government has to say about applying your recommendations in Mexico.

Note to Archbishop Gomez:
Yes, I am afraid. Afraid of over-burdened social support systems, millions of new anchor babies, unregulated and dangerous Mexican truckers, infiltration of violent drug cartels, radically altered voting demographics, millions of unvaccinated children, Canadian-like duel language society, and millions of unassimilated people.

Note to the US Government:

Here’s an idea for Comprehensive Immigration Reform:  Let’s just copy Mexico’s very stringent law-and-order regulations for immigrants.

Obama's Allies Behead A Catholic Priest

VATICAN CITY (Catholic Online) - The Vatican is confirming the death by beheading of Franciscan Father, Francois Murad, who was martyred by Syrian jihadists on June 23.

Below is the news release from the Vatican, via news.va.

On Sunday, June 23 the Syrian priest François Murad was killed in Gassanieh, in northern Syria, in the convent of the Custody of the Holy Land where he had taken refuge. This is confirmed by a statement of the Custos of the Holy Land sent to Fides Agency. The circumstances of the death are not fully understood. According to local sources, the monastery where Fr. Murad was staying was attacked by militants linked to the jihadi group Jabhat al-Nusra.

Father François, 49, had taken the first steps in the religious life with the Franciscan Friars of the Custody of the Holy Land, and with them he continued to share close bonds of spiritual friendship. After being ordained a priest he had started the construction of a coenobitic monastery dedicated to St. Simon Stylites in the village of Gassanieh. After the start of the Civil War, the monastery of St. Simon had been bombed and Fr. Murad had moved to the convent of the Custody for safety reasons and to give support to the remaining few, along with another religious and nuns of the Rosary.

"Let us pray," writes the Custos of the Holy Land Pierbattista Pizzaballa OFM " so that this absurd and shameful war ends soon and that the people of Syria can go back to living a normal life." Archbishop Jacques Behnan Hindo, titular of the Syrian Catholic archeparchy in Hassaké-Nisibis reports to Fides: "The whole story of Christians in the Middle East is marked and made fruitful by the blood of the martyrs of many persecutions. Lately, father Murad sent me some messages that clearly showed how conscious he was of living in a dangerous situation, and offered his life for peace in Syria and around the world. "

**

This should make it clear to Christians around the world what jihadists are about. Make no mistake. Catholics and Christians around the globe are under dire threat, particularly from the spread of militant Islam. Until the threat is recognized and taken seriously, martyrdoms like this will continue.
