Company Fires Creep Who Harrassed Chik-fil-A Employee

Good news!   The intolerant bigot got what he deserved . . .

Excerpted from BIG GOVERNMENT: vvAdam Smith, the man who videotaped himself getting free water at a Chick-Fil-A drive-thru just to berate the young woman as been fired.

Smith in his video said he was happy to feel “purposeful” in condemning the Chick-Fil-A employee over CEO Dan Cathy’s same-sex-marriage remarks. The video went viral and citizen journalists tracked him down online and grabbed copies of his resume. His employer, Vante, released this statement a bit ago:

Vante of Tucson, AZ Regrets Actions of Former CFO

Employee Has Left the Company TUCSON, AZ–(Marketwire – Aug 2, 2012) – The following is a statement from Vante:

“Vante regrets the unfortunate events that transpired yesterday in Tucson between our former CFO/Treasurer Adam Smith and an employee at Chick-fil-A. Effective immediately, Mr. Smith is no longer an employee of our company.

The actions of Mr. Smith do not reflect our corporate values in any manner. Vante is an equal opportunity company with a diverse workforce, which holds diverse opinions. We respect the right of our employees and all Americans to hold and express their personal opinions, however, we also expect our company officers to behave in a manner commensurate with their position and in a respectful fashion that conveys these values of civility with others.

We hope that the general population does not hold Mr. Smith’s actions against Vante and its employees.”

One of the most amazing things to me about the Chick-Fil-A appreciation patronage is that private citizens are waging a free market battle against progressivism. While progressives want to use government to shut down diverse thought, conservatives don't. Conservatives will counter progressive boycotts with massive buying power, as seen yesterday. We don't need regulations or legislation. Conservatives battled progressivism within the private sector over Dan Cathy's free speech and conservatives won. Consider Vante's action another free market move.

Bill Cosby: "I'm 83 and I'm Tired"

I'm 83. Except for brief period in the 50's when I was doing my National
Service, I've worked hard
 since I was 17. Except for some some serious
health challenges, I put in 50-hour weeks, and didn't call in sick in nearly
40 years. I made a reasonable salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my
income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, it looks as
though retirement was a bad idea, and
I'm tired. Very tired.

I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who
don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take
the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy
to earn it.

I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I
can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and
daughters for their family "honor"; of Muslims rioting over some slight
offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't
"believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning
teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the
genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and
Shari'a law tells them to.

I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let
Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries use our oil money to fund mosques
and madrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in Australia , New Zealand ,
UK , America and Canada , while no one from these countries are allowed to
fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia or any other
Arab country to teach love and tolerance..

I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global
warming, which no one is allowed to debate.

I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help
support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ
rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses
or stick a needle in their arm while they tried to fight it off?

I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of all
parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful
mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting
caught. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.

I'm really tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and
actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination
or big-whatever for their problems.

I'm also tired and fed up with seeing young men and women in their teens and
early 20's be-deck them selves in tattoos and face studs, thereby making
themselves un-employable and claiming money from the Government.

Yes, I'm damn tired. But I'm also glad to be 83.. Because, mostly, I'm not
going to have to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for
my granddaughter and their children. Thank God I'm on the way out and not
on the way in.

Never be chicken about your religious beliefs

Lesson Learned:  Don't Be Intimidated by Intolerant Bullies

“The Chick-fil-A episode could become a cultural tipping point. Would Dan Cathy, the CEO of Chick-fil-A, retract his comments that he and his company support biblical marriage, a union of one man and one woman? I knew he never would. Any company that is willing to give up millions of dollars in sales every year by closing all its stores on Sundays was not going to be intimidated by anyone.

The Bible says that “the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil” (1 Tim. 6:10). It’s obvious that the Cathys don’t love money, and if they don’t love money, then they don’t care about having their reputations dragged through the mud by bullies. Their priorities are in the right place. They trust God to supply their needs. If they lost everything tomorrow, the Cathys wouldn’t regret the stand they took or bad mouth their enemies. They would acknowledge the sovereignty of God and move on.
The Cathys never said a disparaging word to anyone about their beliefs. They stood their ground with dignity and biblical rectitude.

The most heartening thing I saw was support for a moral principle from people all across the United States. If we can do it in the defense of a company that laid it all on the line for what it believes, then we can do the same on other issues. Hopefully the silent majority won’t be silent anymore. There’s a lot to be done to turn our nation around.

The Cathys showed us how to stand on a principle: Don’t remain silent and don’t chicken out. There’s work to be done.”

Irrational, Destructive, and Immoral Behavior

"The so-called gay rights movement is not about being gay but about engaging in a certain type of sexual behavior, an irrational, destructive, and immoral type of sexual behavior.

Passing laws to force other people to accept that behavior borders on fascism.

What’s next for the “gay sex deniers,” re-education camps? Right, we already have them. They’re called public (government) schools."

Fox News' Shepard Smith Bashes Chik-Fil-A as 'Intolerant'

Consider this backhanded slap at the Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day from Fox News’ Shepard Smith:  "It’s National Badminton Day. Let’s forget National Day of Intolerance. Let’s just stay with badminton."

Earlier this year Smith “applauded President Obama’s announcement of support for gay marriage with this statement: ‘The president of the United States, now in the 21st century.’” Don’t be too surprised if Shep pulls an Anderson Cooper before year’s end.

About the Last Presidential Election

Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law in  St. Paul , Minnesota,points out some interesting facts concerning the last Presidential election:

Number of States won by:            Obama: 19                McCain: 29
Square miles of land won by:       Obama: 580,000        McCain: 2,427,000
Population of counties won by:    Obama: 127 million  McCain: 143 million
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Obama: 13.2 McCain: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory McCain won was
mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.

Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income
tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..."

Olson believes the  United States is now somewhere between the
"complacency and apathy" phase
 of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy,
with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached
the "governmental dependency" phase
.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal
invaders called illegal's - and they vote - then we can say goodbye to the
USA in fewer than five years.

If you are in favor of this, then by all means, delete this message.

If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom..
This is truly scary! Of course we are not a democracy, we are a Constitutional Republic .Someone should point this out to Obama. Of course we know he and too many others pay little attention to The Constitution.

The End of Democracy

In 1887 Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior:

"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a dictatorship."

"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

From bondage to spiritual faith;
From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;
From dependence back into bondage."
