Trump Explains ObamaCare

No one can sum it up better than Trump.

"Let me get this straight .. . .  We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairperson says they don't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a Dumbo President who smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!

What the hell could possibly go wrong?"

Is Obama's Social Justice Compatible with our Constitution?

Beware of the progressives’ version of Social Justice.  There are many different variations of social justice. The particular variation that is practiced by modern American progressives is, at its very foundation, based on principles originating from the works of Jean-Jacques Rousseau with components that have been extolled in the writings of Rheinhold Niebuhr and a little of  Karl Marx.  However, this type of social justice is not compatible with our Constitution which is based on the works of Locke and Montesquieu.  The Obama Administration version of social justice violates many provisions of the Constitution especially in the areas described below.

Federalism is one of the most important constitutional principles. The Constitution created a federal government that is only limited to those powers spelled out in Article 1 Sectional 8. The States are denied certain powers in Article 1 Section 10. According to the principle of federalism all powers that are not specifically granted to the federal government in Section 8 or denied to the States in Section 10 are left with the States or individuals. During the ratification debates, delegates from several States felt that federalism was not spelled out strong enough in the Constitution so the 10th Amendment was added to make this principle abundantly clear.  The progressive version of Social Justice is based on a set of principles that places a strong central national government above all else. There is no higher power then the national government. Whatever the central government determines to be in the best interest of the people as a whole becomes the law of the land and the people have a moral duty and a legal obligation to obey. Usually these government decisions are made by an “enlightened” few (czars) and are based on a belief that these few are better at deciding what is better for the people then the people themselves.  In the federal government’s continued attempts to implement social justice, it has transferred vast amounts of powers from the States and individuals to itself. This violates the principle of federalism and the 10th Amendment.

Our Constitution is based on fundamental philosophy called Natural Law. This philosophy is embodied in the Declaration of Independence, which our founding fathers strongly believed is inseparable from the Constitution.  According to Natural Law, each and every individual is granted their rights directly by God. Because each and every individual is granted their rights by God every individual is granted the same equal rights. Life, liberty, and the ability to acquire property and wealth and use it as you wish are primary God-given Natural Rights.  Collective rights are a cornerstone of social justice. Rights are collectively granted to an entire group rather than the individual members of a group. The government can grant certain groups rights while granting other groups different rights or no rights at all. The rights individuals are granted are based on what group or groups the individuals belong to.  In order to maintain their rights the group has to behave according to standards set by the government. In order to maintain membership in the group the individuals have to behave according to standards set for it. If too many members of the group do not behave according to standards set for it the entire group can lose the rights granted to it by the government. The rights of the group often greatly outweigh the rights of the individuals that make up the group resulting in individuals possessing little or no rights themselves.

Liberty is the freedom to use all of our God-given Natural Rights as we wish as long as we do not harm others or interfere with the rights of others. As long as we do not interfere with the rights of others or harm others, the federal government must leave us alone. If you harm others or interfere with their rights the government has an obligation to stop you and if necessary punish you. This is done through a formal legal system.  According to the progressive philosophy of social justice, rights are granted by the government. This governing body can vary from the government of an entire nation to a group of self-appointed “elites” that take charge of some subset of the society such as a race, union, or even a religion.  We see this in the Obama Administration coercion of the Catholic Church to accept the contraception mandate.

According to Natural Law, individuals have the freedom to accumulate wealth and property and use it as they wish as long as they do not harm others or interfere with the rights of others when they accumulate and use their property.   In a society governed by the progressive philosophy of social justice, property and wealth are most often shared collectively by the members of a group. Governments often declare that one group often has the right to seize the wealth and property of another group. This is often done to purchase the political loyalty of a larger group at the expense of a smaller group. Propaganda is often used to cloak this theft in flowery phrases such shared sacrifice, spreading the wealth, economic justice,  and paying one’s “fair share.”   Wealth is most often confiscated from a group the government declares to be wealthy. Propaganda is often used to paint these individuals in a negative light. They are often labeled fat cats or described as greedy. It is implied that they do not earn their wealth, or they earn it on the backs of the poor.  As Ronald Reagan said, "We have so many people who can't see a fat man standing beside a thin one without coming to the conclusion that the fat man got that way by taking advantage of the thin one!"

The US Congress is the only branch of the federal government that has the power to write and pass laws. This is clearly stated in Article 1 Section 1 of the Constitution. For laws to be legally binding they must be passed through the formal legal process. This is defined in Article 1 Section 7 of the Constitution.   Executive orders and the massive amounts of regulations issued by executive branch departments, both have been used by presidents since Woodrow Wilson to bypass Congress and implement social justice policies thus violating those two provisions of the Constitution.

The rule of law is a cornerstone of our legal system. Everyone is treated the same under the rule of law. No one is above the law especially our elected officials.  No one is allowed to receive special treatment under the rule of law. All laws must be passed by the formal legislative process and must be clearly written and not so large that they cannot be easily read. The complexity and size of the 2700 page ObamaCare law violates the rule of law.  Social justice violates all of these provisions of the rule of law. Justice is applied unequally and arbitrarily in a society governed by social justice principles. One of the main reasons this is done is as an atonement for past wrongs committed against a group even though these wrongs occurred more than a century ago. Different minority groups get different treatment in courts of law as well as by those who write the laws. The group that gets the best treatment by the legislative and judicial branches are members of the government. They are not often subject to the laws they pass and when caught breaking the law they receive special treatment.

Massive amounts of government are needed to implement the different components of progressive social justice. That amount of government is expensive and requires large amounts of taxes to support it. The wealthy are most often the primary funding source for this massive government leviathan. They usually bear a very large share of the cost of the social programs that make up social justice along with a very large share of the cost of government needed to implement social justice.

There is nothing in the US Constitution or the Bill of Rights that prevents the individual States from enacting these different components of progressive social justice.  According to the original intent of the framers of the Constitution, the State level is the proper level to experiment with some or all of the components of social justice, Many States have in fact enacted social justice to varying degrees.  Those States that have enacted social justice the most are on the verge of collapse financially. The wealthy flee those States for those that do not embrace social justice.  Because of the heavy tax burdens and large amounts of regulations, businesses flee taking jobs along with them.   By implementing all of these provisions at the federal level the federal government has made it very difficult for individuals and business to earn profits. When individuals and companies cannot earn profits they do not hire. When the wealthiest and most productive individuals have more than half of their income taxed away to fund social justice programs, they do not hire at anywhere near the levels needed to sustain economic growth so the country as a whole suffers.

For nearly 100 years the federal government has been incorporating an ever-increasing amount of social justice into legislation and government programs. The Obama Administration is in the process of incorporating the entire suite of social justice policies through legislation and unconstitutional executive department usurpations of power.  For President Obama, the cure is more government, more regulation, more intervention, and less individual freedom to bring about “redistributive change.”  The federal government can in no way practice such progressive social justice without violating many fundamental principles of the U. S. Constitution.

Big Government Health Care PSA

A great parody . . .

A parody PSA about Big Government and its plans to take over health care. A spoof of Will Ferrell's ad for MoveOn.org

Something terrible is happening...

Overpaid celebrities don't have a big enough voice when it comes to Healthcare Reform.

Previous Presidential Election Results

Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul , Minnesota ,
points out some interesting facts concerning the last Presidential election:

Number of States won by: Obama: 19 McCain: 29
Square miles of land won by: Obama: 580,000 McCain: 2,427,000
... Population of counties won by: Obama: 127 million McCain: 143 million
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Obama: 13.2 McCain: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory McCain won was
mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.

Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income
tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..."

Federalism

"We're constantly told that the way to fix the country is to dethrone the left and right and empower the middle. ...

What if instead the solution is to disempower the national elites who think they've got the answers to everything? Federalism -- the process whereby you push most political questions to the lowest democratic level possible -- has been ripe on the right for years now. It even had a champion in Texas Gov. Rick Perry, and Ron Paul still carries that torch.

The main advantage of federalism is more fundamental than the so-called 'laboratories of democracy' idea. Federalism is simply the best political system ever conceived of for maximizing human happiness. A one-size-fits-all policy imposed at the national level has the potential to make very large numbers of citizens unhappy, even if it was arrived at democratically. ...

A left-right federalist compromise would make America a happier, freer, more prosperous and interesting country. It would also dethrone those in both parties who think they know what's best for more than 300 million Americans."

The Gipper

"[I]t doesn't require expropriation or confiscation of private property or business to impose socialism on a people. ...
The government can find some charge to bring against any concern it chooses to prosecute. Every businessman has his own tale of harassment. Somewhere a perversion has taken place. Our natural, inalienable rights are now considered to be a dispensation of government, and freedom has never been so fragile, so close to slipping from our grasp as it is at this moment."

**UNEXPLAINABLE, INEXCUSABLE **

**I challenge you to read this and NOT have the will to pass it on to
your 20+ **

No one has been able to explain to me why young men and women serve in the
U.S. Military for 20 years, risking their lives protecting freedom, and
only get 50% of their pay. While Politicians hold their political
positions in the safe confines of the capital, protected by these same men
and women, and receive full pay retirement after serving one term. It
just does
not make any sense.

Monday on Fox news they learned that the staffers of Congress family
members are exempt from having to pay back student loans. This will get
national attention if other news networks will broadcast it. When you add
this to the below, just where will all of it stop?

35 States file lawsuit against the Federal Government

Governors of 35 states have filed suit against the Federal Government for
imposing unlawful burdens upon them. It only takes 38 (of the 50) States
to convene a Constitutional Convention.

This will take less than thirty seconds to read. If you agree, please pass
it on.

This is an idea that we should address.

For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress.
Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire with the
same pay after only one term, that they specifically exempted themselves
from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear
of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live
under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare
Reform... in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn't seem logical. We do
not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don't care if they are
Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever.. The self-serving must
stop.

If each person that receives this will forward it on to 20 people, in
three days, most people in The United States of America will have the
message.. This is one proposal that really should be passed around.

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution: "Congress shall
make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does
not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress
shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that
does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States ."

Touching Story About John Glenn and His Wife

TWO FOLKS AT THE TOP OF MY HERO LIST

For half a century, the world has applauded John Glenn as a heart-stirring American hero. He lifted the nation's spirits when, as one of the original Mercury 7 astronauts, he was blasted alone into orbit around the Earth; the enduring affection for him is so powerful that even now people find themselves misting up at the sight of his face or the sound of his voice.

But for all these years, Glenn has had a hero of his own, someone who he has seen display endless courage of a different kind:

Annie Glenn.

They have been married for 68 years.

He is 90; she turned 92 on Friday.

This weekend there has been news coverage of the 50th anniversary of Glenn's flight into orbit. We are being reminded that, half a century down the line, he remains America's unforgettable hero.

1962: John Glenn orbits Earth

NASA celebrates 50 years in orbit

He has never really bought that.

Because the heroism he most cherishes is of a sort that is seldom cheered. It belongs to the person he has known longer than he has known anyone else in the world.

John Glenn and Annie Castor first knew each other when -- literally -- they shared a playpen.

In New Concord, Ohio, his parents and hers were friends. When the families got together, their children played.

John -- the future Marine fighter pilot, the future test-pilot ace, the future astronaut -- was pure gold from the start. He would end up having what it took to rise to the absolute pinnacle of American regard during the space race; imagine what it meant to be the young John Glenn in the small confines of New Concord.

Three-sport varsity athlete, most admired boy in town, Mr. Everything.

Annie Castor was bright, was caring, was talented, was generous of spirit. But she could talk only with the most excruciating of difficulty. It haunted her.

Her stuttering was so severe that it was categorized as an "85%" disability -- 85% of the time, she could not manage to make words come out.

When she tried to recite a poem in elementary school, she was laughed at. She was not able to speak on the telephone. She could not have a regular conversation with a friend.

And John Glenn loved her.

Even as a boy he was wise enough to understand that people who could not see past her stutter were missing out on knowing a rare and wonderful girl.

They married on April 6, 1943. As a military wife, she found that life as she and John moved around the country could be quite hurtful. She has written: "I can remember some very painful experiences -- especially the ridicule."

In department stores, she would wander unfamiliar aisles trying to find the right section, embarrassed to attempt to ask the salesclerks for help. In taxis, she would have to write requests to the driver, because she couldn't speak the destination out loud. In restaurants, she would point to the items on the menu.

A fine musician, Annie, in every community where she and John moved, would play the organ in church as a way to make new friends. She and John had two children; she has written: "Can you imagine living in the modern world and being afraid to use the telephone? 'Hello' used to be so hard for me to say. I worried that my children would be injured and need a doctor. Could I somehow find the words to get the information across on the phone?"

John, as a Marine aviator, flew 59 combat missions in World War II and 90 during the Korean War. Every time he was deployed, he and Annie said goodbye the same way. His last words to her before leaving were:

"I'm just going down to the corner store to get a pack of gum."

And, with just the two of them there, she was able to always reply:

"Don't be long."

On that February day in 1962 when the world held its breath and the Atlas rocket was about to propel him toward space, those were their words, once again. And in 1998, when, at 77, he went back to space aboard the shuttle Discovery, it was an understandably tense time for them. What if something happened to end their life together?

She knew what he would say to her before boarding the shuttle. He did -- and this time he gave her a present to hold onto:

A pack of gum.

She carried it in a pocket next to her heart until he was safely home.

Many times in her life she attempted various treatments to cure her stutter. None worked.

But in 1973, she found a doctor in Virginia who ran an intensive program she and John hoped would help her. She traveled there to enroll and to give it her best effort. The miracle she and John had always waited for at last, as miracles will do, arrived. At age 53, she was able to talk fluidly, and not in brief, anxiety-ridden, agonizing bursts.

John has said that on the first day he heard her speak to him with confidence and clarity, he dropped to his knees to offer a prayer of gratitude.

He has written: "I saw Annie's perseverance and strength through the years and it just made me admire her and love her even more." He has heard roaring ovations in countries around the globe for his own valor, but his awe is reserved for Annie, and what she accomplished: "I don't know if I would have had the courage."

Her voice is so clear and steady now that she regularly gives public talks. If you are lucky enough to know the Glenns, the sight and sound of them bantering and joking with each other and playfully finishing each others' sentences is something that warms you and makes you thankful just to be in the same room.

Monday will be the anniversary of the Mercury space shot, and once again people will remember, and will speak of the heroism of Glenn the astronaut.

But if you ever find yourself at an event where the Glenns are appearing, and you want to see someone so brimming with pride and love that you may feel your own tears start to well up, wait until the moment that Annie stands to say a few words to the audience.

And as she begins, take a look at her husband's eyes.

Alarming Medicare Information

Look clearly at the 2014 rate compared to the 2013 rate.

For those of you who are on Medicare, read the following. It's short, but important and you probably haven't heard about it in the Mainstream News:

"The per person Medicare Insurance Premium will increase from the present monthly Fee of

$96.40, rising to:

$104.20 in 2012

$120.20 in 2013

And

$247.00 in 2014."

These are Provisions incorporated in the Obamacare Legislation, purposely delayed so as not to confuse the 2012 Re-Election Campaigns. Send this to all Seniors that you know, so they will know who's throwing them under the
Bus.

Did you notice who Obama threatened when he wasn't getting his way on raising the debt ceiling?

He threatened to not pay:

Social Security Retirees, Military Retirees, Social Security disability and Federal Retirees.

Now.. Let this sink in really good -

He did not threaten to stop payments to
illegal aliens, he did not threaten to take frivolous benefits such as Internet access away from violent inmates.

He did not offer to fire some of thethousands of unnecessary federal employees that he hired.

He did not threaten to not pay the senators and representatives or any of their staff.

He did not threaten to take benefits away from welfare recipients.

He did not threaten the food stamp programs.

He did not threaten to not pay foreign aid.

He did not threaten to cut back on anything that involves his base voters.

Old Men Like Him Gave You Freedom

BEST EMAIL OF THE DAY and POSSIBLY OF THE CENTURY!!!!
As I came out of the supermarket that sunny day, pushing my cart of groceries towards my car, I saw an old man with the hood of his car up and a lady sitting inside the car, with the door open.

The old man was looking at the engine. I put my groceries away in my car, and continued to watch the old gentleman from about twenty five feet away.

I saw a young man in his early twenties with a grocery bag in his arm walking towards the old man. The old gentleman saw him coming too, and took a few steps towards him.

I saw the old gentleman point to his open hood and say something. The young man put his grocery bag into what looked like a brand new Cadillac Escalade. He then turned back to the old man. I heard him yell at the old gentleman saying:

"You shouldn't even be allowed to drive a car at your age."
And then with a wave of his hand, he  got in his car and peeled rubber out of the parking lot.

I saw the old gentleman pull out his handkerchief, and mop his brow as he went back to his car and again looked at the engine.

He then went to his wife and spoke with her; he appeared to tell her it would be okay. I had seen enough, and I approached the old man. He saw me coming and stood straight, and as I got near him I said, 'Looks like you're having a problem.'

He smiled sheepishly, and quietly nodded his head. I looked under the hood myself, and knew that whatever the problem was, it was beyond me. Looking around, I saw a gas station up the road, and I told the old man that I would be right back. I drove to the station and went I inside. I saw three attendants working on cars. I approached one of them, and related the problem the old man had with his car. I offered to pay them if they could follow me back down and help him.

The old man had  pushed the heavy car under the shade of a tree and appeared to be comforting his wife When he saw us he straightened up and thanked me for my help. As the mechanics diagnosed the problem (overheated engine), I spoke with the old gentleman.

When I shook hands with him earlier, he had noticed my Marine Corps ring and had commented about it, telling me that he had been a Marine too. I nodded and asked the usual question, 'What outfit did you serve with?'

He had mentioned that he served with the first Marine Division at Tarawa, Saipan, Iwo Jima and Guadalcanal ....

He had hit all the big ones and retired from the Corps after the war was over. As we talked we heard the car engine come on and saw the mechanics lower the hood. They came over to us as the old man reached for his wallet, but was stopped by me. I told him I would just put the bill on my AAA card.

He still reached for the wallet and handed me a  card that I assumed had his name and address on it and I stuck it in my pocket. We all shook hands all around again, and I said my goodbye's to his wife.

I then told the two mechanics that I would follow them back up to the station. Once at the station, I told them that they had interrupted their own jobs to come along with me and help the old man. I said I wanted to pay for the help, but they refused to charge me

One of them pulled out a card from his pocket, looking exactly like the card the old man had given to me. Both of the men told me then that they were Marine Corps Reserves. Once again we shook hands all around and as I was leaving, one of them told me I should look at the card the old man had given to me. I said I would and drove off.

For some reason I had gone about two blocks, when I pulled over and took the card out of my pocket and looked at it for a long, long time. The name of the old gentleman was  on the card in golden leaf and under his name was written: 'Congressional Medal of Honor Society.'

I sat there motionless, looking at the card and reading it over and over. I looked up from the card and smiled to no one but myself and marveled that on this day, four Marines had all come together because one of us needed help. He was an old man all right, but it felt good to have stood next to greatness and courage, and an honor to have been in his presence. Remember, OLD men like him gave you FREEDOM for America.  Thanks to those who served and still serve, and to all of those who supported them, and who continue to support them.

America is not at war.  The U.S. Military is at war.   America is at the Mall. If you don't stand behind our troops, PLEASE feel free to stand in front of them!

Remember, Freedom IS NOT free.   Thousands have paid the price, so you can enjoy what you have today.

LET'S DO THIS: JUST 19 WORDS:

GOD OUR FATHER, WALK THROUGH MY HOUSE AND TAKE AWAY ALL MY WORRIES; AND PLEASE WATCH OVER AND HEAL MY FAMILY; AND PLEASE PROTECT OUR FREEDOMS, AND WATCH OVER OUR TROOPS, WHO ARE DEFENDING THOSE FREEDOMS.  AMEN.

This prayer is so powerful.
Pass this prayer to 12 people, including me.

Atheist Day

In Florida, an atheist created a case against Easter and Passover Holy days.

He hired an attorney to bring a discrimination case against Christians and Jews and observances of their holy days. The argument was that it was unfair that atheists had no such recognized days.

The case was brought before a judge. After listening to the passionate presentation by the lawyer, the judge banged his gavel... declaring, "Case dismissed!" The lawyer immediately stood and objecting to the ruling saying, "Your honor, How can you possibly dismiss this case?

The Christians have Christmas, Easter and others. The Jews have Passover, Yom Kippur and Hanukkah, yet my client and all other atheists have no such holidays..."

The judge leaned forward in his chair saying, "But you do. Your client, counselor, is woefully ignorant."
The lawyer said," Your Honor, we are unaware of any special observance or holiday for atheists."
The judge said, "The calendar says April 1st is April Fool's Day. Psalm 14:1 states, 'The fool says in his heart, there is no God.' Thus, it is the opinion of this court, that, if your client says there is no God, then he is a fool. Therefore, April 1st is his day.

More ObamaCare Mandates

The White House used last week's regularly scheduled Friday afternoon document dump to double down on its plan to offer free contraception for all women regardless of conscience issues. The "Advanced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking" lists a number of ways that ObamaCare will provide all women free access to contraceptives, sterilization procedures and drugs that induce early abortion. It also specifically states that all student health plans must cover these so-called preventive services free of charge. This is the administration's latest response to outrage over ObamaCare's trampling of religious freedom with its contraception mandate. It doesn't address concerns of conscience for religious organizations or private employers; instead it retrenches the administration's position that those organizations supposedly won't have to pay for "preventive" coverage, because the cost will be pushed onto insurance companies. Unfortunately, those insurance companies will simply raise their premiums, forcing everyone to pay for "free" contraception anyway.

Barack Obama celebrated the announcement by taking his family to church. The Obamas are not regular churchgoers, but their attendance at St. John's Episcopal Church, the "Church of the Presidents," was noteworthy -- St. John's has publicly supported the ObamaCare mandate and has denounced Roman Catholic bishops and others who oppose it.

Religious Freedom Curtailed in the US Military

Even in the USMC, Clifford Stanley had a reputation as a tyrant . . .

In September of 2011, a two-paragraph memorandum was circulated by Clifford L. Stanley, Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness.  This communication went unnoticed by the mainstream media and remains unknown to most American.  In his memo, Secretary Stanley informs that, in light of the repealed of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” military chaplains may officiate at same-gender unions on military installations where not prohibited by local state law.  In other words, although the “Defense of Marriage Act” makes clear that marriage, on the federal level, is between a man and a woman, same-gender unions can now be “solemnized” on federal property by the U. S. Military chaplains.

This is a drastic measure and a direct attempt to undermine the federal definition of marriage passed by the U. S. Congress and signed into lay by President Clinton.  What should be of grave concern to all U. S. citizens is that, by way of a memo, a political appointee (not a ballot box, judge, or legislature), with the stroke of a pen, circumvented a duly enacted Federal Law.

Clifford Stanley, a former U. S. Marine general, should be fired for this assault on the U. S. Constitution and religious freedom.   His boss, Barack Obama, should also be removed from office as quickly as possible for supporting these radical and illegal activities.

Irish versus French

The French President is sitting in his office when his telephone rings.

'Hallo, Mr. Sarkozy!' a heavily accented voice said. 'This is Paddy down at the Harp Pub in County Clare, Ireland. I am ringing to inform you that we are officially declaring war on you! We voted to reject the Lisbon treaty!'
'Well Paddy,' Sarkozy replied, 'How big is your army?'

'Right now,' says Paddy, after a moment's calculation, 'there is myself, me Cousin Sean, me next door neighbour Seamus, and the entire darts team from the pub. That makes eleven!'

Sarkozy paused. 'I must tell you, Paddy, that I have 100,000 men in my army waiting to move on my command.'

'Begorra!' says Paddy, 'I'll have to ring you back.'

Sure enough, the next day, Paddy calls again. 'Mr. Sarkozy, the war is still on. We have managed to get us some infantry equipment!'

'And what equipment would that be Paddy?' Sarkozy asks.

'Well, we have two combines, a bulldozer, and Murphy's farm tractor.'

Sarkozy sighs amused. 'I must tell you, Paddy, that I have 6,000 tanks and 5,000 armoured personnel carriers. Also, I have increased my army to 150,000 since we last spoke.'

'Saints preserve us!' says Paddy. 'I'll have to get back to you.'

Sure enough, Paddy rings again the next day. 'Mr. Sarkozy, the war is still on! We have managed to get ourselves airborne! We have modified Jackie McLaughlin's ultra-light with a couple of shotguns in the cockpit, and four boys from the Shamrock Bar have joined us as well!'

Sarkozy was silent for a minute and then cleared his throat. 'I must tell you, Paddy, that I have 100 bombers and 200 fighter planes. My military bases are surrounded by laser-guided, surface-to-air missile sites. And since we last spoke, I have increased my army to 200,000!'

'Jesus, Mary, and Joseph!' says Paddy, 'I will have to ring you back.'

Sure enough, Paddy calls again the next day. 'Top o' the mornin', Mr. Sarkozy! I am sorry to inform you that we have had to call off the war.'

'Really? I am sorry to hear that,' says Sarkozy. 'Why the sudden change of heart?'

'Well,' says Paddy, 'we had a long chat over a few pints of Guinness and packets of crisps, and we decided there is no f****n' way we can feed 200,000 prisoners.'

Obama - A Petulant Narcissist

As Peggy Noonan put it in October: "A nation in trouble probably wants a fatherly, or motherly, figure at the top. What America has right now is a bright, lost older brother."

Monday night Romney was crisscrossing Ohio, when he spoke about the President and opened up a can of . . . friendliness: "This is a failed presidency," Romney was quoted as saying. "He's a nice guy, but he's in over his head."

Obama strikes us as a petulant narcissist. But calling someone a "nice guy" is rarely a genuine compliment, and it never is when conjoined by "but." As any man who has ever been rejected by a woman knows, describing someone as "a nice guy, but . . ." is another way of saying he's ineffectual. That is exactly the point Romney is making about Obama.

Obama Humor

"Congratulations to Obama! He's now increased the debt more in three years than George W. Bush did his entire eight year presidency. But all that spending was worth it because just look at the great results! So what exactly is the argument that Obama isn't a hugely incompetent failure? So far it's 'Look! Over there! A war on women!'" --humorist Frank J. Fleming

"British Prime Minister David Cameron visited Washington last week and, as expected, President Obama apologized to Cameron for the Revolutionary War." --Jodi Miller

"President Obama hosted a state dinner for British Prime Minister David Cameron. The president and the British are getting along a lot better lately. They love to compare notes on ways the Tea Party's always trying to overthrow their rule in America." --comedian Argus Hamilton

"White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told the reporters at his morning briefing that he hoped they would watch the new movie about Obama's first term 'many times.' They might. Look how well 'Titanic' did at the box office." --Fred Thompson

Obama’s Angry Adviser

Immelt appalled at Obama’nomics

 By Charles Gasparino

Back when he agreed to advise the Obama administration on economics, General Electric CEO Jeff Immelt told friends that he thought it would be good for GE and good for the country. A life-long Republican, Immelt said he believed he could at the very least moderate the president’s distinctly anti-business instincts.

That was three years ago; these days Immelt is telling friends something quite different.

Sure, GE has managed to feast on federal subsidies, particularly the “green-energy” giveaways that are Obamanomics’ hallmark.

But Immelt doesn’t think he’s had anywhere near as much luck moderating the president’s fat-cat-bashing, left-leaning economic agenda of taxing businesses and entrepreneurs to pay for government bloat.

Friends describe Immelt as privately dismayed that, even after three years on the job, President Obama hasn’t moved to the center, but instead further left. The GE CEO, I’m told, is appalled by everything from the president’s class-warfare rhetoric to his continued belief that big government is the key to economic salvation.

Or, as one friend recently put it to me, “Jeff thought he could make a difference, and now realizes he couldn’t.”

Immelt’s conversion from public Obama supporter to a private detractor is important: It shows how even businessmen who feast off his subsidies worry about his overall economic agenda and its long-term impact on the economy.

You'll Love This Story

An old prospector shuffled into the town of El Indio, Texas leading a tired old mule. The old man headed straight for the only saloon in town, to clear his parched throat.

He walked up to the saloon and tied his old mule to the hitch rail.

As he stood there, brushing some of the dust from his face and clothes, a young gunslinger stepped out of the saloon with a gun in one hand and a bottle of whiskey in the other.

The young gunslinger looked at the old man and laughed, saying, "Hey old man, can you dance?"

The old man looked up at the gunslinger and said, "No son, I don't dance... never really wanted to"

A crowd had gathered as the gunslinger grinned and said, "Well, you old fool, you're gonna dance now!" and started shooting at the old man's feet.

The old prospector, not wanting to get a toe blown off, started hopping around like a flea on a hot skillet.

Everybody standing around was laughing.

When his last bullet had been fired, the young gunslinger, still laughing, holstered his gun and turned around to go back into the saloon.

The old man turned to his pack mule, pulled out a double-barreled 12 gauge shotgun and cocked both hammers.

The loud clicks carried clearly through the desert air. The crowd stopped laughing immediately.

The young gunslinger heard the sounds too, and he turned around very slowly

The silence was deafening. The crowd watched as the young gunman stared at the old timer and the large gaping holes of those twin 12
 gauge barrels.

The barrels of the shotgun never wavered in the old man's hands, as he quietly said;

"Son, have you ever kissed a mule's ass?"

The gunslinger swallowed hard and said, "No sir ... but ... I've always wanted to"

There are a few lessons for all of us here:

*
 Don't be arrogant.
*
 Don't waste ammunition.
*
Whiskey makes you think you're smarter than you are.
*
Always make sure you know who is in control.
*
 And finally, Don't screw around with old folks;
they didn't get old by being stupid.

I just love a story with a happy ending, don't you?

Marines are never to be parted from their weapons

"Nothing but a direct order from the White House could have persuaded Maj. Gen. Mark Gurganus, the senior Marine in Afghanistan, to disarm his men on the battlefield, even for an audience with Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta. ...

He said he wanted the Marines to look just like their Afghan partners. ...
Marines are never parted from their weapons, whether they're on their way to the latrine, the mess tent, or to look up the chaplain. ...

The Taliban position on peace is clear and unchanging; it would behead Americans wherever it found them. So much for diplomacy. Mr. Panetta is back in Washington, the brave experiment with gun control is over and their weapons were returned to the Marines. It's not yet clear if the bullets were returned, too."
--Washington Times' editor emeritus Wesley Pruden

The Foundation

"In the first place, it is to be remembered, that the general government is not to be charged with the whole power of making and administering laws: its jurisdiction is limited to certain enumerated objects, which concern all the members of the republic, but which are not to be attained by the separate provisions of any."
-- James Madison

Sad Story from a Bethlehem Christian

When I went to church tonight, I saw a tall guy in the church lobby with a bunch of wooden religious statues, crucifixes, rosaries, and other items.   I thought it must be some kind of parish fund raiser.
At the end of mass, the priest introduced the tall guy as a Catholic living in Bethlehem in the West Bank area of Israel.
The guy said that Catholics used to make up 90% of Bethlehem, but they are down to only 1% now as the Palestinians are driving them out.  He said that their small community may not be staying much longer and that no Christians may live in Bethlehem soon.
He said that there used to be 5 Catholic schools in Jerusalem, but there is only one now and most Christian areas of that city have been under pressure from Jews and Arabs to leave even though their families have lived there for centuries.
He said that the Coptic Christians are being beaten, killed, and driven out of Egypt as Sharia Law is being implemented and most Arabs who recently overthrew their government want the country to be free of Christians and to be run by Islamists.
He said that the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia also decreed that the entire Middle East should be rid of Christians (which I also read about recently).
He said that Christians in the Middle East are actually supporting the evil President Bashir of Syria who is killing insurgents and innocent people because the Christians know that the insurgents want Sharia Law and all Christians out of Syria.    Bashir at least tolerates Christians in his country, but the insurgents will force out Christians once they take over.
He said that Christians in the Middle East greatly admire the USA and its religious freedoms.   He remembers as a child when religions in the Middle East tolerated each other, but now Islamic fundamentalism and Sharia law are sweeping the area.  He said it is only going to get much worse in the Middle East.
He asked for our prayers and for us to buy some of their hand-made items that will help support the besieged Christian families that paid to send him to the USA.
We gave him a nice round of applause.  I didn’t buy anything, but he had a good crowd looking at his tables full of items.

Fourth Grader Writes Epic Thank You Letter

Most children have the ability to exercise their imaginations to a more profound degree than their adult counterparts. Take, for instance, Flint, a fourth-grade student from Texas who was so impressed with a local weatherman who came to visit his school that he wrote an insanely-descriptive “thank you” letter. In it, he mentioned bacon, a tuxedo-wearing monkey, a cyborg unicorn and plenty more.

The young boy wrote to KVUE’s Albert Ramon:

“Thank you for coming to our school to teach us about weather.

Some day when I become supreme ultra-Lord of the universe, I will not make you a slave, you will live in my 200 story castle where unicorn servants will feed you doughnuts off their horns.

I will personally make you a throne that is half-platinum and half-gold and jewel encrusted.

Thank you again for teaching us about meteorology.  You’re more awesome than a monkey wearing a tuxedo made out [of] bacon riding a cyborg unicorn with a light saber for a horn on the tip of a space shuttle closing in on Mars while engulfed in flames  . . . . and in case you didn’t know, that is pretty dang sweet.

Sincerely, Flint“

ObamaCare: $1.00 Abortions

Obamacare $1 Abortion Payment Surcharge Upsets Pro-Lifers

Leading pro-life organizations are upset by the news that the Obama administration has issued the final rules on abortion funding governing the controversial health care law allowing for a $1 abortion insurance payment surcharge. As LifeNews initially reported, the Department of Health and Human Services has issued a final rule regarding establishment of the state health care exchanges required under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. As a knowledgeable pro-life source on Capitol Hill informed LifeNews, as authorized by Obamacare, “The final rule provides for taxpayer funding of insurance coverage that includes elective abortion” and the change to longstanding law prohibiting virtually all direct taxpayer funding of abortions (the Hyde Amendment) is accomplished through an accounting arrangement described in the Affordable Care Act and reiterated in the final rule issued today.

Who killed Bin Laden? A Marine's Answer

Let's be clear on this: OBAMA did NOT kill Bin Laden. An American sailor, who Obama, just a few weeks before, was debating on whether or not to PAY, did! In fact, if you remember a little less than two years ago, his administration actually charged and attempted to court-martial three Navy Seals from Seal Team Six, when a terrorist suspect they captured, complained they had punched him during the take-down and bloodied his nose. Obama's administration further commented how brutal they were. The left were calling them Nazi's and Baby Killers. Now all of a sudden, the very brave men they vilified are now heroes when they make his administration look good in the eyes of the public. Obama just happened to be the one in office when the CIA finally found the <guy> And our sailors took him out. Essentially, Obama only gave an answer, Yes or No, to him being taken out. This is NOT an Obama victory, but an AMERICAN victory!!

OBAMA'S OWN WORDS TRAP HIM:

2008: "Navy Seal Team 6 is Cheney's private assassination team."

2011: "I put together Seal Team 6 to take out Bin Laden."

2008: "Bin Laden is innocent until proven guilty, and must be captured alive and given a fair trial."

2011: "I authorized Seal Team 6 to kill Bin Laden."

2008: " Guantanamo  is entirely unnecessary, and the detainees should not be interrogated."

2011: "Vital intelligence was obtained from  Guantanamo detainees that led to our locating Bin Laden."

I HOPE THIS GETS SENT AROUND TO PEOPLE WHO CARE ABOUT THE TRUTH!

Remind the people who vote, time to throw out the  trash is nearly here.  Those who have had freedom and lost it will never see it again!"
" America is not at war; the US Marines are at war. America is at the mall."
